Countries are making progress in updating national biodiversity strategies, yet implementation continues to lag behind the ambition of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. At the same time, governments are expected to deliver across biodiversity, climate and land commitments while advancing national development priorities. There is broad consensus that greater synergies between biodiversity, climate and land action are necessary. The challenge is increasingly practical: how can countries operationalize these synergies through national policies, institutions, sectoral processes, financing mechanisms and implementation systems? This side event will focus on the practical 'how' of integrated implementation. It is designed as a learning exchange for countries seeking to accelerate NBSAP implementation through stronger nature-climate synergies, bringing together country experiences, implementation models and practical tools that can be adapted to different national contexts.
