National Capacity Development Plans
As part of the process to develop and/or update their national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAP), some Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity prepared national capacity development plans or strategies to support implementation, either as a chapter / section within their NBSAP or as standalone documents.

NBSAPs
To date, 194 out of 196 Parties have developed NBSAPs in line with Article 6 of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
A review of 177 NBSAPs shows that at least 55% explicitly highlight capacity development as a means of implementation.
