The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework Secretariat calls for the adoption of whole-of-society and whole-of-government approaches in implementation. The Secretariat facilitates the engagement and participation of civil society organizations in CBD and KMGBF implementation and decision-making processes, including through major stakeholder groups.
Major stakeholder groups contribute to CBD implementation and processes with varying degrees of organization. Other groups also coordinate their involvement -when possible and to some extent- including academic and research organizations, parliamentarians, faith-based organizations, and others.
