I am pleased to inform you that, with the generous financial support of the European Community, the meeting of the group of legal and technical experts has been scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 October 2005 in Montreal, Canada. Accordingly, Parties and Governments are hereby invited to submit their nominations of suitably qualified legal and technical experts to the Secretariat, as soon as practicable, but in any case no later than 19 August 2005.

This Notification serves to inform Parties from the CEE countries that the deadline to nominate experts for the said-meeting has been extended in their case up to 2 September 2005. It would be greatly appreciated if nominations would be sent to Mr. Mathieu Régnier, Fax.: 001-514-288-6588 or per email (<a href='mailto:mathieu.regnier@biodiv.org'>mathieu.regnier@biodiv.org</a>).

I am pleased to inform you that the Secretariat has completed the selection of participants to the Experts Meeting on Liability and Redress under Article 14 (2) of the Convention to be held on 12 - 14 October 2005, in Montreal, Canada on the basis of nominations received from Parties, Governments and relevant international organizations. The list of selected experts is attached to this notification.
