Mission Under this overarching vision, the mission of the plan of action calls for: Close coordination with the Strategic Plan of the Convention on Biological Diversity for the period 2011-2020, including the 2020 strategic goals and targets, in the context of the long-term vision for 2050. The duration of the South-South cooperation Plan will thus coincide with the Strategic Plan of the Convention;Support and engagement from G-77 members at national and regional levels, also in the mainstreaming of biodiversity concerns into regional integration processes, regional and subregional cooperation agreements, development programmes, and interregional South-South programmes;Close cooperation with forums such as the Group of 15, the Group of Like-Minded Megadiverse Countries (LMMC) and the India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) Dialogue Forum in order to foster cooperation and enhance the solidarity and the interdependence of developing countries;A multi-stakeholder approach including academic institutions, the private sector, development partners, regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, and local community and indigenous peoples organizations.
