Subnational and Local Authorities

Data and Resources

Databases, tools, guidelines and reports to help Parties, subnational governments and local actors turn biodiversity targets into concrete action. The final section gathers the texts adopted by cities, regions and local authorities themselves, from the first Curitiba meeting to the present.

Tools

  • Singapore Index on Cities' Biodiversity - also known as the City Biodiversity Index, a self-assessment tool for cities to measure and monitor their own biodiversity, ecosystem services and governance. See also the handbook.
  • CitiesWithNature - the platform where cities and local governments register voluntary commitments, set targets and report progress.
  • RegionsWithNature - the counterpart platform for states, provinces and regions.
