Topic 3: Characterizing the contribution of collective action of indigenous and local communities, and exploring pertinent terminologies

You need to sign-in if you want to contribute to this topic.

How does collective action of indigenous peoples and local communities work?: formation, rule setting, decision making, management, compliance, conflict resolution, monitoring and evaluation, sustainability [#1075]
In microeconomics, microeonomic units, such as households and firms, are analyzed.  To understand and communicate on collective action of indigenous peoles and local communities, it is necessary to look into how such collective action works.  For instance, how such collective action is formed? If it is simply inherited, how has such collective action evolved, for instance, members of the collective action might have chosen to leave or others want to join? How are rules set, decision made and implemented? How is compliance ensured and conflict resolved? Is monitoring and evaluation necessary in such collective action? What factors have contributed to sustaining such collective action?
