Case Studies from the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) [#1091]
The International Partnership for the Satoyama Intiative (IPSI) has been collecting case studies about a wide variety of activities aimed at the revitalization and sustainable management of socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS) around the world since its establishment five years ago. Many of these landscapes and seascapes are managed by, or contain a significant influence from, indigenous peoples and local communities.

All of IPSI's case studies can be found at its website (http://satoyama-initiative.org/en/casestudies/). The following is a list of some that include examples of engagement of indigenous peoples and local communities. Some are directly managed, while others are only slightly related, but in any case I hope readers will find some of them useful.

If any readers would like more information or to discuss any of these outside this forum, please feel free to contact me or the IPSI Secretariat (isi.unu.edu). Of course please comment here, too!

I look forward to the discussions in Guatemala.
