Financial Mechanism and Resources

Global and regional projects financed by GEF

The financial mechanism plays a role in fostering and promoting regional and sub-regional cooperation. In the past two decades, noticeable global, regional and subregional cooperation on biodiversity and ecosystem services has been linked to global, regional and subregional projects financed by the financial mechanism.
