Updates on World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US) WWF’s mission is to maintain a living planet and secure clean water, food and energy for all, will take actions that contribute to achieving the following goals by 2025.
- The world’s most important fisheries & ocean ecosystems are resilient and well-managed
- The world’s most iconic and endangered species are secured and recovering in the wild
- The integrity of the world’s most important forests is enhanced and maintained
- Freshwater ecosystems & flow regimes in key river basins provide water for people & nature
- A global shift towards low carbon & climate resilient future is achieved
- Sustainable food systems conserve nature and maintain food security
These goals will be delivered through the efforts of many institutions, but with a critical role played by 80 WWF offices worldwide, and with an increased focus on drivers and pressures.
