t is International Day for Biological Diversity and Fauna in Focus showcased some of our high-quality environmental educational materials and media. We had 4 interactive stations set up along with a large monitor for everyone to discover our exciting wildlife media, nature films, and promotional videos. We had great crowd engagement today and our Cambodian Ecosystems board game was a huge hit! We had so many students playing at the same time that our Wildlife Instructor, Chea Samban, had to think fast on his feet and create a speed version for up to 20 players to play at one time! The kids loved it! We were thrilled to help so many discover the importance of biodiversity and help the ministry’s efforts in the development and preservation of biodiversity through this great community based event. With about 500 in attendance, around 200 students were hands-on at our presentations of our Wildlife club activities. While exploring the Wildlife Club lessons, the kids were eager to jump in

On May 22nd 2018, for the 25th anniversary of the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB), officials of the government of Cambodia, the Asean Secretariat and the Asean Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), united in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to celebrate the occasion. The annual event was held at Wat Bo Primary School and functioned as a space for representatives of the government, international organizations, youth, media and other sectors to coalesce to display their pledge to biological diversity and to celebrate 25 years of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
