At its first meeting, the COP-MOP adopted modalities of operation of the BCH (contained in the Annex to decision BS-I/3), which outline the role of the Biosafety Clearing-House, its characteristics, its administration, the role of Biosafety Clearing-House focal points, modalities for technical oversight and advice, the obligations of partner organizations, reporting arrangements, and modalities for periodic review by the COP-MOP.
