The Biodiversity Conservation Center (BCC) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization working for restoration and protection of pristine nature allover Northern Eurasia.

The BCC's main objectives are:

• designing and implementing various conservation programs and projects
• providing methodological and consultative assistance to conservation initiatives, green activists, staff of nature reserves, national parks and other protected natural areas
• promoting partnership between Russian and overseas environmental organizations, coordinating their efforts in wild nature protection
• developing efficient mechanisms of fundraising for nature conservation projects
• improving management of protected natural areas and developing conditions for sustainable livelihood of their residents.

The basic idea of FlorAnimal - to save the living planet, the diversity of life forms that were given to us by Nature. This nature encyclopaedia is the most visited, Russian-speaking site devoted to biodiversity and its preservation, with over 3,000,000 visitors annually.

Annual competition of photos and films of the wild nature spent in Russia. It is the largest cultural ecologic-educational action in Russia. Also, it is one of the most appreciable events in nature protection life of the country.

Russian Union of Nature Photographers is the first organisation in Russia engaged in helping photographers and organising various public actions devoted to nature photography.

From 11 to 13 March we offer Russia's first Festival of Nature Photography. More activities are being planned as the year unfolds.

The St.Petersburg International Forestry Forum has been organized every year since 1998 on the federal level and enjoys participation of the leading forest and wood-related industries experts from Russia and more than 20 other countries.

The St.Petersburg International Forestry Forum is the key event for forestry and wood-related industries in Russia. The programme of the Forum is developed according to the major principles of the Forest Technology Platform and includes key trends of the Russian forest sector in the scope of the world forestry industry– climate change, certification, biodiversity, bioenergy, information sector for forestry, investments, forest sector economy situation, wood production, consumption tendencies and other merging topics.

The main tasks and goals of the Fund WFF:

• To gain an understanding of the fact that the global environment is the subject of our universal concern and responsibility.
• Save the nature for the sake of present and future generations.
• To achieve optimum sustainable use of natural resources as an important tool for achieving social and economic benefits, thus creating an incentive for their conservation.
• To promote ecological and rural tourism, manufacturers of eco-products and eco services, healthy way of life, ecological-educational and ecological-educational activities.
• The development of national environmental media project GREEN RUSSIA for the unification of the society, business and authorities.
