The Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico, through the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, organized an event to celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity. Held at El Chico National Park, the event was also attended by the President of Mexico, Mr. Enrique Peña Nieto.
