Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (INBio)

 

INBio is a private center of investigation and management of biodiversity, established in 1989 to support the efforts of getting to know the biological diversity of the country and promote its sustainable use. The organization works under the premise that the best way to preserve perpetual the biodiversity is to take advantage of the opportunities that this offers to improve the quality of life of society.

We:
  • Promote a diverse and innovative educational offer based on biodiversity and the ecosystems’ services.
  • Convert the services of the ecosystems in an axis to take decisions in the private and public sectors.
  • Offer integral and innovative solutions based on the generation and processing of scientific information.

INBio contributes directly to Aichi Biodiversity Targets 1, 4, 11, 16, 17, 19, and 20.
