Secretariat (Article 31, para.3):

Approved a core programme budget for the distinct costs of the Biosafety Protocol for the biennium 2005-2006 and provisionally adopted a scale of assessment to apportion those costs among the Parties to the Protocol;

Established a Trust Fund for the core budget; a voluntary Trust Fund for additional contributions for approved activities; and a voluntary Trust Fund for facilitation of participation of developing countries and countries with economies in transition in the processes of the Protocol;

Decided that the financial rules of the Convention shall be applied to the Protocol.
