POWIB has been an extremely useful document to refer to and to use as a guide, when making contributions from the environment sector (and especially where biodiversity matters are concerned), to relevant areas where national Government intervention and attention, are/may be required at the country level;

The broad guidelines outlined in the POWIB are useful to use, modify and apply,as appropriate to fit the national context at the country level;

POWIB needs to continue to be flexible but also needs to be adequately resourced from the CBD international level;
