In response to a request (paragraph 2, decision BS-IV-15) by the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (COP-MOP), the Secretariat has prepared a draft Strategic Plan of the Biosafety Protocol. The draft has been prepared, under the guidance of the Bureau of COP-MOP, based on comments received from Parties and has undergone through informal consultations and consequent revisions.
