Twelfth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 12)

The side event will focus on the contribution of the World Heritage Convention to CBD. Topics that will be discussed are World Heritage and Climate Change, the development of a joint programm of works on POW on protected areas and marine biodiversity, the World Heritage forest programme and the WH Convention and the ecosystem approach. Reference will also be made to other UNESCO side based instruments such as the Mand and Biosphere programme.
