This event will discuss the latest progress on scaling up PES with a focus on payments for avoided deforestation. The progress is based on a joint UNEP-IUCN initiative in close collaboration with the CBD Secretariat. Challenges in moving this agenda forward will also be identified and ways of addressing the challenges defined.
