A presentation on the UK's Darwin Initiative which assists countries that are rich in biodiversity but poor in financial resources to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) through the funding of collaborative projects which draw on UK biodiversity expertise. The event will explain the background to this UK funding scheme which promotes biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of resources around the world. It will outline eligibility for funding and present what ha been achieved during the 15 years that it has been running, with specific reference to issues relevant to the COP.
