The US Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service is sponsoring this brief presentation of preliminary findings from a research study on the movement and use of non-plant agricultural genetic resources currently being conducted in the US. The presentation will illustrate common challenges and opportunities to users of food and agricultural genetic resources in the context of the development of an international ABS regime. Researchers will present the preliminary findings and a representative of the US Department of Agriculture will comment on the policy dimension of the findings.
