Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)

Date and Time
8 October 2012 13:15 - 14:45

Eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 11)

Following Decisions at CBD COP 10, Parties have been working to revise their NBSAPs, aligning them with the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. UNEP-WCMC and IEEP, with financial support from Defra, and in collaboration with the CBD Secretariat, are undertaking a project to examine the lessons learnt from incorporating biodiversity and ecosystem service values into NBSAPs. This side event will focus on the results from case studies undertaken with six countries. Country representatives will be invited to share their experiences from incorporating values into NBSAPS, the specific approaches they used and importantly, the lessons learnt which may help to inform others.
