Eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 11)
SACEP is an intergavernmental environmental orgainzation and its member countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Hon. Ministers of Environment at the 12th meeting of Governing Council of SACEP held on 1-3 November 2010, just after the CBD COP 10 adopted a resolution "South Asia's Biodiversity Beyond 2010". The resolution is in line with the Aichi Biodiversity targets. At this proposed event, the member countries will present their progress in line with the resolution and Aichi targets. Disussion will lead to find out the way forwards for conservation of South Asia's Biodiversity collectively.
