Purpose of side event: Share experiences on what the Parties are doing to meet the goal of building representative systems of protected areas. Launch of the Gap Analysis Guide. At this event, participants will be provided with materials, guidance, and examples from country case-studies relevant to the implementation of ecological gap analysis (1.1.5), an activity in the Programme of Work scheduled to be completed by 2006.
