ProBenefit is an interdisciplinary research project aiming at the implementation of the principles of the CBD. Its goal is to work out a model procedure for a fair and transparent sharing of benefits from the use of biodiversity in the Amazon lowlands of Ecuador through negotiations with the national authorities, indigenous people and a pharmaceutical company from Germany.
