Based in Costa Rica the Biodiversity Partnership Mesoamerica (BPM) was created in 2012 and has over 25 members. BPM is multisector association supporting the private sector in the integration of aspects of biodiversity into business activities. |

Brazil Initiative

Launched in 2012, The Brazilian Business and Biodiversity Initiative promote the cooperation; engagement and sharing of information of the business sector on a national level and ensure their representation in the international negotiations. |

Dominican Republic Initiative

ECORED is a business association whose objective is to facilitate the incorporation of a culture of social responsibility and sustainable development in member companies. The network manages public-private partnerships to achieve a balanced environmental, social and economic development with a view to the sustainability of the Dominican Republic. |

Peru Initiative
|
Established in 2014, the Biodiversidad y Empresas (ByE) is a public-private partnership that facilitates the exchange of information, knowledge and experience between business sector and the Ministry of Environment to contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystem services. |

Mexico Initiative
|
Launched in 2016, the Mexican Partnership for Business and Biodiversity (AMEBIN) facilitates dialog and action between the private sector and civil society organizations in order to contribute to the conservation, sustainable use and restoration of biodiversity in Mexico. |

Canada Initiative
|
Capitals Hub Canada (CHC) is a not-for-profit organization based in Canada, part of the international Capitals Coalition. CHC focuses on enhancing the adoption of non-financial capitals (such as social, human, and natural capital) in business and economic decision-making. Their primary aim is to support businesses, especially SMEs, in accounting for and mitigating their impacts on these capitals. This effort aligns with CHC's broader vision of promoting sustainable and equitable decision-making across organizations and governments. |

Productive Protected Landscapes (PPP) is a program from ProYungas Foundation, created in 2009, that promotes conservation of wild areas in private or communally productive properties. |

ASEAN Initiative
|
The ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity was established in 2005 to facilitate cooperation and coordination among the ASEAN Member States and with regional and international organisation on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the use of such resources. |

Australia Initiative
|
Established in 2011, the Australian Business and Biodiversity Initiative aims to raise awareness of biodiversity loss and degradation and to support the development of practical solutions that integrate consideration of biodiversity and ecosystem services into business decision-making. |

China Initiative

The China Business and Biodiversity Partnership aims to work with a number of associations in China that deal directly with biodiversity related issues. These include associations dealing with the extractive industry, liquor (wine-brewing), Chinese herbal medicine and cosmetics. |

India Initiative

The India Business and Biodiversity Initiative (IBBI) was established in 2014 to serve as a national platform for business, to promote sharing and learning, and will ultimately lead to mainstreaming sustainable management of biological diversity by business. |

Sri Lanka Initiative
|
The Sri Lanka Business and Biodiversity Platform was established in 2012 to add economic value to biodiversity conservation and integrate it into the core business of companies. It also aims to promote national cooperation and the exchange of ideas and information relating to biodiversity conservation as well as to strengthen and increase the involvement of the private sector in biodiversity conservation. |

Korea Initiative

Korea Business Council for Sustainable Development(KBCSD) has been operating the Business and Biodiversity Platform(BNBP) Secretariat in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment since 2016. BNBP is Korea Business and Biodiversity Initiative(KBBI). |

EU Initiative

The EU Business @ Biodiversity Platform was launched in 2008 with the aim to work with and help businesses integrate natural capital and biodiversity considerations into business practices. It also facilitates dialogue and policy discussions between business and biodiversity at EU level. |

The French Initiative for Business and Biodiversity was created in 2013 to encourage the exchange of good practice and experience on how to improve the conservation of biodiversity. Respect Ocean was created on 2013, and serves as a non-profit organization that brings together companies committed to sustainable economic development in favor of the protection and preservation of the ocean, the coast, and their ecosystems and biodiversity. |

Germany Initiative

Launched in 2008, the ‘Biodiversity in Good Company’ Initiative aims to engage businesses in support of the goals of the CBD as well as to initiate and share experiences related to entrepreneurial biodiversity management. The Initiative members are small-, medium-, and large-scale companies from Germany and other countries and a variety of sectors. |

Spain Initiative

The Spanish Business and Biodiversity Initiative (IEEB) was launched by the Biodiversity Foundation (belonging to the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge) in 2013. The initiative provides a solid cooperation framework for private sector and the government to join efforts towards improving and maintaining Spain’s natural capital. |
