Notification 2021-012

Peer review of draft documents for the twenty-fourth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 24)

Dear Madam/Sir,

As per notification 2020-045, and in order to facilitate the preparation of documents for SBSTTA 24, a peer review page for documentation related to that meeting has been created and is accessible at: https://www.cbd.int/sbstta24/review.shtml

There is currently one document (CBD/SBSTTA/24/3/ADD2) available for scientific and technical review. It addresses scientific and technical information to support the review of the proposed goals and targets in the updated zero draft of the post‑2020 global biodiversity framework. This document is related to Agenda Item 3 (post-2020 global biodiversity framework) of SBSTTA 24 and is intended to support the work of the Subsidiary Body in carrying out its scientific and technical review of the proposed goals and targets for the post-2020 global biodiversity framework, as invited by the Open-ended Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, in its recommendation 2/1.

I invite Parties and observers to participate in the review process of this document by sending comments of a scientific and technical nature on the document, using the review comment template available at the webpage noted above, by e-mail to: secretariat@cbd.int no later than 22 March 2021. Parties and observers are requested to provide comments with a view to improving the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the document and ensuring that it is well grounded in the evidence base. Please include any supporting information related to your comments or provide a complete reference or hyperlink for it.

Additional supporting information documents related to this document will be made available for scientific and technical review from the webpage noted above in due course. The deadline for providing review comments on these additional documents will be indicated on the peer review page.
